Carrefour, owned and operated by Majid Al Futtaim in Pakistan, has teamed up with Alkhidmat Foundation for the provision of humanitarian aid. The collaboration is set to provide meals to the less privileged during the month of Ramadan in Pakistan and to support the victims of recent earthquakes in Türkiye and Syria. The bipartite memorandum of understanding was signed by Majid Barzegar, District Manager of Carrefour Pakistan and Engr. Ahmad Rashid, President AlKhidmat Foundation Lahore during a special ceremony held at Head Office of AlKhidmat Foundation in Lahore.

Customers have the opportunity to give back to the local community this Ramadan by purchasing special, pre-packed boxes filled with essential food items such as rice, flour, oil, dates & pulses. These will be distributed to families to stop them from worrying about their next meal. In addition, earthquake relief boxes comprised of shelter supplies, clothing, and non-perishable food items are available for customers to buy and donate at all Carrefour stores.

Lahore: Carrefour, owned and operated by Majid Al Futtaim in Pakistan, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bank Alfalah to launch its first ‘Buy Now, Pay Later’ initiative. This first-of-its-kind solution means that customers with an Alfa account can now scan a product’s QR code to pay in instalments in-store without experiencing any price markup, affording more flexibility when it comes to check-out.

The agreement was signed between Imran Mansoor, Country Finance Manager of Carrefour Pakistan, and Syed Irfan Akhtar Gillani Business Head of Retail Central, of Bank Alfalah, at Carrefour Head Office, Fortress. The ‘Buy Now, Pay Later’ service can be availed by all BAFL credit card users across all products and categories.

The process to use Carrefour’s ’Buy Now, Pay Later’ feature is quick and easy. Customers can use the Alfa app to scan an item’s QR code, choose ‘Credit Card,’ and enter their payment information. After choosing their desired tenure, they will be able to pay in manageable instalments. The last step is to accept the terms and conditions, which maintain that the instalment plan can only be booked for the transaction amount of PKR 3,000 or above and for a tenure of up to 12 months.

Carrefour Pakistan supports flood victims with food donations

  • The donation will cover 150,000 meals, supporting 5,000 families for 10 days
  • Food hampers have been prepared by Carrefour for impacted Pakistani families

Lahore: With relief and rescue operations underway in many parts of the country, Carrefour, owned and operated by Majid Al Futtaim in Pakistan, has collaborated with Alkhidmat Foundation to support flood victims through food hamper donations. The ration-based relief packages prepared by Carrefour will provide 150,000 meals, feeding 5,000 families over 10 days.

Each donation box contains daily food items including flour, rice, ghee, sugar and other daily essentials. The hampers will be distributed by Alkhidmat Foundation to provide relief to thousands of families residing in critically affected areas. In addition to this, Carrefour has also donated food hamper boxes to the Government of Punjab and the Government of Sindh alongside the Lifeline Welfare Foundation.

Carrefour Launches Ramadan Donation Drive by Partnering with Alkhidmat Foundation

Carrefour and Alkhidmat Foundation signed an MOU to support individuals & families in need during the Ramadan season.

Carrefour will offer customers the option to share their Ramadan charity donations to Alkhidmat Foundation.

Lahore, February 21, 2022: Carrefour, owned and operated by Majid Al Futtaim in Pakistan, and Alkhidmat Foundation signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on 21 February, during a special ceremony hosted in Lahore. The agreement sees the leading retailer and humanitarian NGO collaborate to support individuals & families in need during the holy month of Ramadan.

The MOU was signed in the presence of Umer Lodhi, Country Manager of Carrefour Pakistan at Majid Al Futtaim Retail, and Engr. Ahmed Hammad Rasheed, President of Alkhidmat Foundation.

Carrefour and Alkhidmat will be helping thousands of individuals and families in unfortunate circumstances during the holy month. Support will be lent to the entire Alkhidmat Foundation network across Pakistan.
