How Scouting Works by Sutter Health
Scouting by Sutter Health™ is a digital experience focused on early intervention and prevention that provides evidence-based advice, tools, and activities to help teens and young adults build resilience and manage their everyday mental health. The programme, designed in conjunction with young people and clinical experts, offers one-to-one support for those aged 12-26. Scout advances mental health literacy, builds resilience and emotional health, and provides timely redirects to clinical care when needed. Participants receive weekly check-ins and are connected to non-medical mentors who support participation. Scout is also available to caregivers who can sign up to receive information and tools designed to help them understand, support and connect with loved ones as they work through their mental health journey.
Users who now complete an Ada assessment via the Sutter website and who meet the appropriate severity and eligibility criteria can now be provided with information about Scout by Sutter Health™ as a potential care option and presented with a dedicated registration page. Those under 16 years of age are required to have an evaluation done on their behalf by a parent or caregiver.
Young Sutter users who complete an AI-based health assessment through Ada will now be redirected to Scout by Sutter Health to receive personalized mental health support. Participants receive weekly check-ins and are connected to non-medical mentors who support participation.
