Allama Raghib Naimi, Chairman of the Council of Islamic Ideology, said in this regard that the use of the Internet or software that gives access to immoral or illegal matters is prohibited in Sharia.
They said that using a VPN to access illegal content or blocked websites is illegitimate in Shariah.
Allama Raghib Naimi further said that apps that are controversial, blasphemous and used against the country’s integrity should be stopped immediately.
He said that the government has the authority to counter all actions leading to evil and evil in Sharia sense.
