Pakistan will initiate export of mobile phones from next year and exporters should target nontraditional fields to raise exports, commerce adviser described on Saturday.

Razak Dawood Advisor to Prime Minister on Commerce, Textile, Industries, Production and Investment told there is an exact dearth of producing units for shirts, suits and ladies garments.

Dawood told exporters should target the fields as the government would be more than useful to ease and help them.

“We could enhance our exports to two hundred billion dollars within the next couple of years,” he told during a session with industrialists.

Dawood told Prime Minister Imran Khan will have two sessions. In the first session, they would determine export goals for the next monetary year.

Another meeting will be fixed with Shaukat Tarin Finance Minister to solve the issue of accessibility of yarn. The policy has been accomplished for the transaction of duty complications of domestic taxes and levies. It was globally disregarded in the current budget and the government would establish it after having a meeting with the finance minister, he elaborated.

Razaq Dawood told he was decided to visit Uzbekistan as central Asian markets have the capability of ninety billion dollars and Pakistan must utilize it.

Forty per cent of raw materials are imported and duty on them was minimized to zero. Duty has been decreased to zero levels on different textile raw materials containing raw cotton, acrylic, viscose, nylon and wool.

On Price hike, Dawood told it is the main problem. The feasibility of economic growth is a major issue after maintain and refining the economic measures. A series of meetings have been suggested with the shareholders immediately after Eid.

Our economy is going in the right direction and industry is formulating exceptional development, he stated.

The government, during the last three years, had obtained the development goals and now the challenge is to assure continuity of economic growth, he further elaborated.

Ihtisham Javed Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry President said that the country can raise exports to twenty-five billion dollars as the government has introverted duties on 1,600 additional tariff lines.

Simultaneously, the PM adviser also talked a session of All Pakistan Bed-sheets and Upholstery Manufacturers Association.
