Wix has released a Search engine optimization tools (Opens in a new tab) It says it will allow users to review and edit each page’s meta tags, as well as URL permalinks, indexability, and open graph tags.
Now available, the update gives businesses the option to customize SEO-related elements such as structured data markup from a single settings page – Wix dashboard.
Wix says its users can use the new SEO settings for their home website pages and product pages, and is making them available for Blogging sites (Opens in a new tab).
Wix SEO update
Over the past two years, Wix has focused heavily on developing the SEO offerings associated with its popularity building site (Opens in a new tab) Services.
This new tool is an addition to Wix’s suite of SEO-related releases, incl site inspection (Opens in a new tab) tools and Semrush integration (Opens in a new tab).
With the goal of giving its users a tool to compete on search engines, Wix says it’s focused on making these new tools house SEO features on a single page in its Wix editor. This will give users a complete picture of all their meta tags, providing a better understanding of what needs optimization and customization.
Wix said in a written PDF emailed to Radar Pro Technology.
Rather than tweaking the settings of a single page, it allows users to customize settings that apply to the entire section, folder, or group of pages, all at once. This way, users can create an SEO strategy faster, and optimize their pages at scale. These basic settings default meta tags for each page type, social preview, and more information about the structured data of their pages.
Radar Pro Technology I reached out to Wix to find out what kind of SEO pain points its users experienced that led to the development of the new update, but the company has yet to provide a response.
