Spotify Help amateur hosts clean up their voice with a new background noise reduction tool on the Anchor podcast app.
This feature is called Audio Enhancement, which takes the form of a new button on the anchor recording screen. We tested the feature ourselves, and while it makes quiet ambient noise, it’s not by a wide margin. Conversations and music playing in the background are still clearly audible, though there is more focus on your voice. Granted, the phone used for testing wasn’t a high-end device. The quality of the sound enhancement may depend on the type of smartphone you are using. However, as an on-the-go tool, it’s a pretty great tool for hobbyists who don’t have a lot of equipment.
