DeepTomCruise uses controversial deepfake technology to capture a hypothetical likeness of Top Gun: The Maverick star does un-Cruise like things, and the same visual magic was used to bring Elvis to life during last year’s issue of America’s Got Talent.
Now, Metaphysic, the leading AI software company behind magic, has announced plans to move into the motion picture game — and it looks like its knack for deception means we’ll be seeing more and more actors digitally in movies and TV shows in the near future.
