Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC) has announced the launch of its graduate program in Pakistan to offer young talents world-class learning and career development opportunities. The Ericsson Pakistan Graduate Program is focused on nurturing Pakistan’s technology leaders of tomorrow.

With experts from Ericsson training and supporting young Pakistani talent, the Ericsson Pakistan Graduate Program provides on-the-job, project-based, classroom training, and online learning in Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and advanced technologies within the advanced connectivity era and as a contribution to the Digital Pakistan Policy.

The graduates are gaining valuable work experience, skills and knowledge that enable graduates to gain professional project-based knowledge, in a fast-changing ICT sector.

Ericsson Pakistan discusses digitalization and skill development in a meeting with the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication

Karachi, 24th December 2021: Ericsson Pakistan and the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunications held a meeting yesterday to discuss digitalization, skill development and training for engineers in line with the vision of Digital Pakistan. Ericsson Pakistan showed keen interest to deploy advanced networks as well as scaling up the Near Shore Centre to create job opportunities for engineers in Pakistan.

 

Syed Amin Ul Haque, Federal Minister for IT and Telecom, Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunications, says: “Strong measures are underway for connectivity in urban and rural areas of the country. Pakistan is the mega-market of technology and there is great potential in our youth. We are committed to supporting Ericsson Pakistan in achieving the digital objectives as per the vision of Digital Pakistan.“

Present at the meeting, Secretary of IT & Telecom discussed the regulatory and financial business models and policies for ease of conducting business. Also present at the meeting was Member Telecom who briefed about the investment areas of technological advancement and the telecoms ecosystem in Pakistan.

Aamir Ahsan Khan named Country Manager of Ericsson Pakistan

Ericsson (NASDAQ:ERIC) has announced the appointment of Aamir Ahsan Khan as Country Manager of Ericsson Pakistan. Aamir is set to lead a strong cross-functional team aided by a network of partners to support communication service providers and increase Ericsson’s digital footprint in the country.

Having joined Ericsson 14 years ago, Aamir brings forward progressive and professional experience in information technology, telecommunication, and management, with a proven record of increasing business through relationship-based client management and streamlined processes.
