Power Supply to the Capital City Disrupted as it Receives Heavy Showers

Islamabad – At least 100 feeders were tripped and power supply to more than half of the city was disrupted as the capital faced heavy showers with strong winds on Saturday evening.

While IESCO continued to claim that the power restoration efforts was underway, consumers took Twitter to highlight that electricity was not being restored even after the rain was stopped.

Many areas including Ghori Town Phase 5, Ashraf Town, Lalazar Mazhar Qayyum Road, Faizabad, Naseerabad, i-11, Fazal Town, among others remained under dark.

The main Helpline of the power company was also frozen due to higher number of complaints.
