Mozilla has announced a privacy package for its Firefox browser browser Which includes two of the main safeguards to provide a timely healthy provision of Black Friday.
The package contains two products, starting with Firefox Relay. Mozilla claims to have received thousands of sign-ups since its low-key launch in 2020, saving 1.5 million spam emails from being delivered to its users’ inboxes.
The company says it now hopes to protect more online shoppers who part with their sensitive information at checkout.
Mozilla VPN and Firefox Relay
Relay works by creating up to five email masks to hide your real email address when filling out online forms in its free form. Mozilla also raised the email size limit to 10MB in 2022, and created the Chrome extension in response to customer demand.
Premium users get unlimited email masks as well as phone number masking which works the same way.
The second product that is part of the deal is Mozilla VPN. It works like any other VPN to hide your IP address and keep your information safe, and there’s even an option to use two VPNs simultaneously (called multi-hop) for extra protection.
There is no official name for the duo, but users can sign up from either of them Mozilla VPN page (Opens in a new tab) or the Firefox migration page (Opens in a new tab) For $6.99 per month when purchased on an annual plan.
This combination should appeal to users who not only want to protect their data but value an easy solution under one roof. currently paid iCloud + plans (Opens in a new tab) (Starting at $0.99 per month) It comes with a similar email masking feature, but it lacks phone number masking. The iCloud Private Migrate It works in a similar way to a VPN but is fundamentally different.
Google One plans (Opens in a new tab) Get a VPN connection, though this is only on the higher tier plan that comes with 2TB of storage, costs $9.99 per month, and is only available as a mobile app. All plans lack email masking functionality, though.
