Carestream Dental today announced its partnership with Overjet, the leader in dental artificial intelligence. This partnership gives Carestream Dental customers easy access to Overjet’s FDA-authorized, AI-powered x-ray analysis tool that detects cavities, measures bone loss, and highlights other areas of concern.
Overjet also analyzes 18-month radiographs from previous visits and reviews them with the in-office practice management system to identify potential caries and undiagnosed gum disease. Research shows that diseased teeth are misdiagnosed about a quarter of the time using conventional methods. *However, AI eases the workload and simplifies the diagnosis process for practitioners, while building greater trust with their patients.
