Samsung Internet Browser Debuts on Windows with AI Features

According to a report in Pakistan Tech News, Samsung has, for the first time, released its beta version of Samsung Internet Browser for Windows. For now, the launch is only available to users in the US and South Korea, and it will support both Windows 10 and 11.

Cross-Device Sync and Purpose

  • Samsung already makes this browser a default on Galaxy smartphones; now it wants to offer a similar experience on desktops.
  • The Windows version allows users to sync bookmarks, browsing history, passwords, and saved pages between their phone and PC via a Samsung account. This will make it easier for users to continue browsing from one device to another.

Galaxy AI and Privacy Features

  • The browser features Galaxy AI-powered features like Browsing Assist that support summarization of web pages and automatic translation.
  •  Another important addition is the Smart Anti-Tracking feature, limiting third-party tracking and blocking unnecessary pop-ups.

Compatibility and Future Plans

  • Samsung Internet Beta is compatible with both the x86 and ARM-based processors, which let it run on laptops and desktops.
  • Windows Requirement: Installation requires a system running at least Windows 10 version 1809 or any version of Windows 11.
  • Global Release: Samsung has not announced a global release date, though they’ve revealed that it will surely be rolled out to major markets after initial testing in the US and South Korea.
