Why Govt is providing Free IT Training in Hyderabad? Sindh to set-up Software Technology Park

The free training course has announced by Syed Aminul Haq, who is Federal Minister for Information Technology and Communications. He has announced that they are going to provide the 500 youth of Hyderabad with free IT training. He said this while opening the ceremony at the Software Technology Park in Hyderabad. The name of the Institute is the Hyderabad Institute of Arts, Science, and Technology. During his addressing with the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony between the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) and On Friday, this announcement was made at HIAST (the Hyderabad Institute of Arts, Science and Technology) at a local hotel.

 

Major achievement

On that occasion, he also said that the MoU between HIAST and PSEB is one of the major achievement. Furthermore, he said that they are going to establish a software technology park at the university campus, online training, capacity building, and developing linkages. So that in this way the IT startups and freelancers will get a great facility.

Presently, there are 16 software technology parks in Pakistan having 1,169,500 square feet of space, he also said. Another point was that there are efficient growth and expansion recorded in export. However, in the field of the IT industry, the focused is concentrated in Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad. 

 

Launching the 5G technology

He also said that before launching the 5G technology, there must 50% coverage of the 4G network. At present time 4G has covered 41% of the mobile users. There are is an increase in the users as well: 1.4Million user of 4G. By the end of this year, this goal will achieve as well.

According to Haq, said that the federal government is making Pakistan enable to assemble and manufacture mobile phones. The purpose behind that is simple: reducing the high prices. Besides, he said that our aim is that rather than buy a smartphone of Rs 50000 to Rs. 100,000. People can buy Rs. 8,000 to Rs. 12,000.

 

Goals:

He highlighted that if the previous could work in it then today we can do the big achievement. However, the minister mentioned that their government is striving for providing 3G and 4G internet to every par to Pakistan. In addition, he said that they had spent more than Rs. 21.9 billion for the expansion of these services.

There happened a great change after his charge, according to him, said that in Sanghar district, he announced Rs, 550 million priced IT project. Syed Amin ul Haque appreciated his Ministry’s effort for making a drastic change in IT exports from $995 million in 2019 to $1.23 billion in 2020 in June. Lastly, he said that they are hopeful that with the end of this year IT exports will increase to $5 billion before their end of the tenure of the government in the year 2023.

Importance of Technology Park in Hyderabad:

During his welcome address, Osman Nasir, who is the Managing Director of PSEB. He said that the IT minister asking the board to increase the IT industry to all cities of Pakistan rather than only 3 cities of the country. He appreciated the PSEB for making the information technology park in Hyderabad, the land between 5,000 square feet to 10,000 square feet. This will definitely trigger the growth of the IT sector in the cities of Pakistan’s IT industry.

 

He briefly mentioned some other benefits regarding Technology Park. Including the development of its related ecosystem. For instance, the surrounding area based on the strong science of a technology park. Lastly, he said that it will also result in the development of the entrepreneurial culture as tenants of the technology park that will result in promoting technology experts, startups, and entrepreneurs.
