Dubai, United Arab Emirates: Female gamers are all set to take the center stage in Islamabad as Galaxy Racer is bringing Pakistan’s first-ever female esports tournament, HER Galaxy, to the capital with a grand prize pool of 500,000 Pakistani Rupees. Taking place on 8th and 9th of January at Pak-China Friendship Centre in Islamabad, HER Galaxy will be a part of Gamers Galaxy, the largest esports event to take place in the history of Pakistan.

DFA Chitral crowned Super Champion of Ufone 4G Football Cup 2021

Two formidable footballing sides, DFA Chitral and Muslim Club Chaman clashed for glory at a jam-packed Tehmas Khan Football Stadium Peshawar on 12 Dec 2021 in the Super Final of Ufone 4G Football Cup 2021 on Sunday. DFA Chitral defeated Muslim Club Chaman to clinch the title. DFA Chitral and Muslim Club Chaman had earlier emerged as champions of their respective regions in Khyber Pakhtunkwa and Balochistan legs of the tournament.

The super final match was played under floodlights, a day after the final of Khyber Pakhtunkwa leg of the tournament where an experienced Chitral team downed Mardan to clinch victory and to qualify for the grand finale against Muslim Club Chaman. The two sides enjoyed extensive national and international experience and were powered by extremely talented footballers.

Owing to the gigantic support base in Peshawar, DFA Chitral enjoyed a near home-ground advantage, which coupled with its effective strategy and cohesive game plan, gave it early dominance over Muslim Club Chaman. Chitral’s player Yousaf masterfully tackled a long range assist from fellow player Muhammad Rasul to send the ball into Muslim Club’s goalpost in the 11th minute. Muhammad Rasul returned to capitalize on Ziaul Islam’s assist to score another goal in the 24th minute to solidify his team’s grip on the match.

Muslim Club Chaman seemed to have found its rhythm towards the end of the 1st half where it launched a couple of well-coordinated attacks on their opponent but failed to get past Chitral’s unassailable defenses. The team then got a golden chance in form of a penalty in the 74th minute but failed to capitalize on the opportunity.

DFA Chitral dominated the match through maximum possession of the ball and continuous coordinated attacks, besides successfully preventing Muslim Club Chaman from orchestrating a comeback in the match. The strategy worked out for Chitral, which lifted up the gleaming Super Champions trophy in front of the overjoyed crowd present to cheer for the team.

Head of Public Relations Ufone, Mr. Amir Pasha distributed cash prizes amongst the teams and handed over the Super Champions trophy to the winning team. DFA Chitral’s players and supporters celebrated their victory by dancing euphorically to traditional tunes.

The Super Final marked the end of the Ufone 4G Football Cup tournament that featured 140 teams and more than 2 thousand players from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. The tournament organized by Pakistani telecom company Ufone aimed to bring positive entertainment to people, nurture local footballing talent and provide an effective platform for youth development in the country.

Chitral, Mardan teams make it to the Final of Ufone 4G Football Cup Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Football teams of Mardan and Chitral made it to the final of Ufone 4G Football Cup Khyber Pakhtunkhwa here in Tehmas Khan Football Stadium Peshawar on Friday by registering emphatic wins against their opponent teams. Over 71 teams participated from across the region in the Khyber Pakhuntwa leg of the tournament, played simultaneously with its Balochistan edition.

The first Semi Final match was played between DFA Charsadda and DFA Mardan at Tehmas Khan Football Stadium on Friday. Despite repeated attacks on both sides, no goal could be scored during the allocated time. Some of the shots were near misses but defenses outweighed offensive tactics on both sides and the match was ultimately decided on penalties. This stage of the contest was however dominated by DFA Mardan, which took away the match 4 against 2 to book its slot in the Final.

The second match was played between DFA Chitral and Waziristan Combined under floodlights at a packed Tehmas Khan Football Stadium. The two teams appeared to be in impeccable touch however, Chitral was tipped as favourites for its extensive collective experience and history as the Runner up of the 1st edition of Ufone 4G Football Cup.

DFA Chitral dominated the match from the beginning through maximum possession of ball as well as by launching fierce attacks at regular intervals. In the 18th minute, DFA Chitral’s Muhammad Rasul sent the ball wheezing past the Waziristan goalkeeper to put his team in command. Chitral’s dominance was further solidified by Ziaul Islam who added the second goal in 24 minutes into the match. Waziristan Combined took its time to respond. It started the second half on a triumphant note when Faheemullah scored the 1st goal for his team in the 50th minute. The rest of the match remained an active contest on both sides, with Chitral seeking to reinforce its dominance while Waziristan looking to equalize the scores.

The day was however carried by DFA Chitral when its player Ziaul Islam scored a sensational long range goal, his second, in the 93rd minute, labeled as the ‘goal of the tournament’ by commentators, propelling his team into the Finals by 3-1.
In addition to the memorable performances on the field, the Semi Final matches also featured cultural performances and music to entertain the crowd.

The Final match will be played on 11th December between DFA Mardan and DFA Chitral to decide the winner of the Ufone 4G Football Cup Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The winner of the Ufone 4G Football Cup Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will then face Muslim Club Chaman, the winners of the Balochistan leg of the cup in a Super Final match, the grand finale being played on 12th December at Tehmas Khan Football Stadium Peshawar under floodlights.

DFA Mardan, Waziristan Combined book berths in Semi Finals of Ufone 4G Football Cup Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

DFA Mardan and  Waziristan Combined have registered decisive victories against their opponents DFA Karak and DFA Bannu respectively to complete the Semi Finals line up of the ongoing Ufone 4G Football Cup Khyber Pakhtunkhwa at Peshawar’s Tehmas Khan Stadium. DFA Charsadda and DFA Chitral have already made it to the Semi Final round of the tournament.

On Thursday, DFA Karak faced DFA Mardan while DFA Bannu played Waziristan Combined for the coveted Semi-Final slots. The match between DFA Mardan and DFA Karak remained a sensational spectacle for football enthusiasts present at the venue to catch the action live. The contest witnessed a shift of equilibrium in the 15th minute when Zahoor Khan from DFA Mardan scored the first goal. DFA Karak failed to shake Mardan’s strong defensive line up which continued to dominate the contest thereon. DFA Mardan’s Mahab scored the second and decisive goal in the 70th minute to put his team through to Semi Finals by 2-0.

The next match between DFA Bannu and Waziristan Combined proved to be a thorough entertainer. The match started slower however, Waziristan Combined’s Hamid’s sensational goal in the 35th minute had the match pick up the pace. DFA Bannu took its time to respond. Rashid scored an equalizer 62 minutes into the match. Bannu’s Wajid put his team in command of the match by scoring a beautiful goal in the 75th minute but the dominance lasted only a minute. Waziristan Combined player Rehmanullah equalized the scores by scoring in the 76th minute, taking the match to penalties. Waziristan Combined proved to be a better side at this stage and took the match away by 3 against 1 to make it to the Semi Finals.

The Semi-Finals will be played on 10th December at Tehmas Khan Football Stadium Peshawar,  where DFA Charsadda will fight it out against DFA Mardan at 03PM while DFA Chitral will face off against Waziristan Combined at 5:30PM under floodlights. The winner will meet at the Final match will be played on 11th December to decide the winner of the Ufone 4G Football Cup Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

DFA Charsadda, DFA Chitral qualify for Semi Finals of Ufone 4G Football Cup Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

The iconic Tehmas Khan Football Stadium in Peshawar was rocked by thunderous applause and cheering from the crowd as DFA Charsadda and DFA Chitral registered impressive wins against their opposition in the Ufone 4G Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Football Cup to qualify for the Semi-Finals of the tournament.

DFA Charsadda faced DFA Abbottabad in the first match of the day, with both eyeing the coveted slot in the Semi-Finals. The teams were equal match for form and vigor and appeared unstoppable in their pursuit of glory. DFA Charsadda player Zaid scored his team’s first goal in just 3 minutes into the match, which was equated in the 6th minute by DFA Abbottabad’s Yasir.

DFA Charsadda player, Saif consolidate his team’s position by scoring another goal in the 8th minute, while Zaid went on to seal the fate of the opposition by scoring two more goals that include the final goal at the 70th minute to clinch a win by 4 to 2. Yasir from DFA Abbottabad returned for another goal in the 55th minute but his team fell short and bowed out of the tournament.

The second match of the day was played between DFA Chitral and Aatish Tank. The two teams showcased exemplary defensive and offensive tactics; however, being equal match of one another for the footballing prowess, they failed to impact the scorecard. The ball didn’t see the net on either side during the entirety of the match, which was decided on penalty strokes. DFA Chitral ultimately emerged as the better side by downing Aatish Tank by 4 penalties to 2 to proceed to the Semi-Finals. Today, December 09, DFA Karak will face DFA Mardan while DFA Bannu will meet Waziristan Combined for the coveted Semi-Final slots.

Ufone 4G sponsors ‘Clean & Green Murree Marathon’ to raise awareness regarding environmental protection

Pakistani telecom company, Ufone 4G is organizing a unique sporting and social mobilization event, ‘Clean & Green Murree Marathon’ at the picturesque tourist destination, Murree to raise awareness regarding environmental protection and responsible tourism.

The first of its kind event is being organized on Saturday, 4th December at 9AM in collaboration with Murree Development Forum (MDF), in which citizens, tourists and members of local administration will participate in 8.3 kilometer marathon from GPO Chowk Murree to Chinar Army Public School. Online and physical registrations are open for public and the organizers have appealed to citizens to participate in the event in large numbers to help spread the message far and wide. The winners of the marathon will be awarded cash prizes.

Ufone 4G Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Football Cup enters sensational Super 8 round

Following the successful completion of Ufone 4G Balochistan Football Cup 2021 in Quetta, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) leg of the tournament has also reached the sensational Super 8 round. The winner of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa leg of the tournament will meet Balochistan edition winner Muslim Club Chaman in a Super Final match in Peshawar on 12th December.

After the completion of the Eliminator round, DFA Charsadda, DFA Abbottabad, Aatish Tank, DFA Chitral, DFA Karak, DFA Mardan, DFA Bannu and Waziristan Combined have qualified for the Super 8 level, which will be played on 7th and 8th December, two matches a day. All the Super 8 and Semi Final matches will be played at the iconic Tehmas Khan Stadium in Peshawar. On 7th December, DFA Charsadda will face DFA Abbottabad while DFA Tank will play DFA Chitral. The next day, DFA Karak will fight it out against DFA Mardan while DFA Bannu will be pitted against Waziristan Combined.

The Semi Final matches will follow on 10 December at Tehmas Khan Football Stadium Peshawar, for the coveted slot in the finals at 2:30 PM and 5:30 PM respectively. Muslim Club Chaman downs Baloch Club Quetta to clinch Ufone 4G Balochistan Football Cup title

A formidable footballing side, Muslim Club Chaman registered an emphatic win over Baloch Club Quetta in the final match of Ufone 4G Balochistan Football Cup 2021 to lift the champions trophy. The sensational match was watched by thousands of football enthusiasts at Quetta’s iconic Ayub Stadium, besides thousands more who caught the action live through PTV Sports.

Muslim Club Chaman (MCC) dominated the game right from the start by benefiting from Baloch Club Quetta’s defensive demeanor. In just 7 minutes into the match, Muhammad Hanif of Muslim Club Chaman scored a beautiful goal by overriding Baloch Club’s defenses.

The early goal came as a confidence shaker and exerted massive pressure on Baloch Club whilst putting Muslim Club Chaman in a comfortable commanding position. Baloch Club Quetta, Muslim Club Chaman register emphatic wins to make it to Final of Ufone 4G Football Cup

Balochistan Club Quetta defeated DFA Zhob and Muslim Club Chaman overpowered Quetta Zorawar to book respective spots in the sensational Semi-Final matches played at Ayub Stadium Quetta. The Final will be played today, Thursday, November 25th November at 5PM at Ayub Stadium Quetta. The match will be live telecasted from PTV Sports.

Quetta’s iconic Ayub Stadium was showered in Ufone 4G’s thematic orange colour where Baloch Club Quetta took on DFA Zhob while Muslim Club Chaman faced Quetta Zorawar in the Semi Finals of the Ufone 4G Balochistan Cup Football 2021.

In the first Semi Final match, a determined and in form Baloch Club Quetta downed DFA Zhob by 3-1 to make it through to the Final. Baloch Club Quetta and DFA Zhob started out with an equal hold on the ball and both seemed determined to surpass each other. In the 25th minute of the match, Kabir Ali of Baloch Club Quetta sent the ball blazing through DFA Zhob’s goalpost, putting his team in a firm lead. DFA Zhob’s Luqman scored an equalizer in the 57th minute to bring his team back in the game, however Baloch Club Quetta’s Ameer Jan scored another goal for his team in the 79th minute. DFA Zhob shifted gears to score another equalizer but Baloch Club player Abdul Jabbar scored a decisive 3rd goal in the 87th minute to put his team through to the finals.

The second Semi Final of the tournament was played between Quetta Zorawar and Muslim Club Chaman under floodlights. Despite back to back fierce attacks on both sides, the strong defenses of the teams prevailed and no goal could be scored in the first half. Quetta Zorawar’s player Haider scored a sensational goal in the 60th minute of the match. Muslim Club Chaman orchestrated a strong comeback in the game by scoring an equalizer in the 77th minute when Jameel Khan masterfully put the ball through opposition defenses. The team then solidified its grip on the match further when Raheemullah scored the 2nd goal for his team in the 85th minute.

Quetta Zorawar although had early success but couldn’t cope with the pressure mounted by Muslim Club Chaman towards the end and conceded the match 1-3 to give Muslim Club Chaman a well-deserved passage to the final event.
