If you are a die-hard fan who loves to get the most out of them slack Experience, the new update should help you feel more connected to your team than ever before.
The Collaboration platform It announced that it offers typing indicators for threads, letting users know when their colleagues or friends are replying.
The update, which reflects what’s really happening in Slack channels, was open on Twitter by Jonny Rodgers, Principal Software Engineer at Slack, and is now rolling out to users around the world to start having fun.
Slack says the change should help users focus on the conversations they value most, particularly in larger companies where users may be part of a large number of channels and conversations.
But if you are not a fan, it can be disabled by heading to the preferences menu, where in the “Messages and media” section, users can uncheck the box next to “Show information about who is currently writing a message”.
The update is the latest in a series of upgrades Slack has made as it appears to help users get more out of the platform.
Other recent additions include the ability to Launch Quick Video Chats in Slack HuddlesUnplanned meeting tool, along with voice calls. It also added multi-person screen sharing, emojis and reactions, and threads that pull into the linked channel after the call ends.
The company also recently launched a new version of Slack Workflow Builder. Workflow Buildera tool that allows any worker to automate their workflow, without having to wait in overburdened development teams or write the code themselves.
The launches follow a recent survey by Slack that found many workplace leaders as well Feeling the pressure of the ‘new normal’, They rely on “old habits” to compensate.
