Reston, Virginia – (work wire) – Senior Director of the Center of Excellence for Artificial Intelligence at Octo’s Olabis Research and Development Innovation Facility, promoted to Vice President. In his new role, Albritton, award-winning AI and Machine Learning (ML) expert, will continue to shape Octo’s AI capability, strategy, and vision.

oLabs is a 15,000-square-foot innovation center featuring 20 petaflops of AI computing, three petabytes of flash storage arrays, an autonomous systems development lab, a close combat and augmented reality lab, more than 50 employees with roots in companies like Bosch and Microsoft, as well as mission units US military special. With the recent AI contract win at the DoD Joint AI Center, US Army PEO Soldier, and US Army Combat Capabilities Development Command’s Army Research Laboratory, the Albritton and Octo oLabs team established Octo as a trusted provider of artificial intelligence solutions to the Department of Defense. As Vice President, Rob will work to grow Octo’s AI practices and solutions across its entire client group including the American Intelligence Community, Healthcare, and GSA.

Prior to joining Octo, Albritton worked as a scientist in the US Army’s Geospatial Research Laboratory and machine learning engineer at MITER and spent several years growing the public sector team at NVIDIA alongside thought leaders in high performance computing, artificial intelligence and deep learning. He has received several prestigious awards, including the US Army ERDC Award for Achievement in Technology Transfer; Combat IED Technology and Army Commander’s Civil Service Award; and an award in support of US Special Operations Command and the Joint Agency for Personnel Recovery.
