Sending his recommendations on social media laws to the Prime Minister

The Attorney General said that there should be extensive consultation on social media rules and monitoring, and that basic human rights and freedom of expression should be taken into account in social media rules.

Prime Minister Imran Khan formed a five-member committee headed by Dr Sherry Mazari on the recommendation of the Attorney General. The committee includes Malika Bukhari, Senator Ali Zafar, Secretary MoIT and Chairman PTA. The committee will make its recommendations to the Prime Minister within 30 days.
