The Minister of Tourism of Gilgit-Baltistan has informed the media that the visitors and mountaineers will be able to connect their cell phones and internet on the mountaintop, now on ward.
Earlier, the mountaineers and visitors had to depend on satellite phones to keep in touch with the base camp. Climbers often faced challenges in connecting each other to severe weather environment in winters.
According to the tourist’s minister, The Gilgit-Baltistan government is initiating further steps in this regard to facilitate tourists and visitors and mountaineers. Pakistan has also launched the Lahore to Skardu flights two times a week. It is really taking encouraging steps by the government.
The government would soon start a new route for international and local flights for travelers or tourists, he told. Prime minister of Pakistan Imran Khan currently accepted a development grant for GB.
The government officials had declared that the region would soon have 4 G internet service in near future.
