Microsoft’s ad-supported PC plan might not be a bad idea

at the time Global PC sales are decliningWhat can the computing giant Microsoft think of in order to keep sales going? Cheap cloud systems are paid for with subscriptions and ads, of course!

In a number of job listings on the official Windows website – including this one Posting now closed (Opens in a new tab) For a software engineer from early this year – the company is looking for engineers to become part of a team that will “build a new trend for Windows in the cloud-first world”.

The list of jobs includes the possibility of low-cost computer models being available via subscription, with advertisements to try to offset some of the costs. There was some hint of this potential new model by CEO Satya Nadella when responding to it comments By Microsoft Financial Analysts earnings call On October 25. When answering questions about Microsoft’s plan for the future, Nandella said one goal would be to focus on incorporating advertising into what the company offers.

Warnings are everywhere, and most of us have accepted this fact. We grin and endure the repetitive and annoying series of jingles and charades that make a minute or long break from our show or YouTube video so hateful. If we think of Netflix and the “Ad Basics” categoryEven when we think we’re free, ads pop up. So, unfortunately, it makes sense for Microsoft to consider low-cost devices supported by subscriptions and ads.

The quick reaction here is to be pissed off and super annoying and want to eat your keyboard because again, we might be bombarded with ads for things that don’t need ads. However, if we take a step back here, we might be able to view this as a good thing if Microsoft would reasonably go ahead with this idea.

We live in a highly interconnected world and the idea is that people or societies who can’t afford it decent computer They can now access technology at a lower cost. This obviously depends on the subscription price (if it doesn’t pay off) but if you can get your hands on the setup and all you have to deal with is some ads, this could be a good thing.
