Microsoft Teams will finally let you do that one thing you’ve always wanted

Microsoft announced a new feature coming to Microsoft Teams Desktop client that will help users maintain clarity in the age of endless instant messaging.

The company hopes to introduce the ability to delete chat threads in Video conferencing software by the end of the year, claiming that December 2022 is the target for general availability.

This should help workers filter out unused threads so they can keep important conversations more visible.

Delete messages in Teams

Microsoft says that “this does not affect what any other user sees in the chat.” In other words, any conversations deleted by you will remain unchanged by the other participant, so messages remain easily accessible if they need it.
