If Diablo 4’s Queen of Hell is a spicy tomato, this Burger King ad gives me ideas

Have you ever played a video game and thought to yourself, “Hey! This guy sure is the digital embodiment of the Pickled Bacon Quarter Pounder?”

Of course you have. Burger King Japan knows you crave burger-iffic versions of all your favorite characters from The best role-playing games And beyond, so you intend to deliver the goods.

BK Holding She announced her latest advertising campaign (Opens in a new tab) It’s about promoting Diablo 4. With the Queen of Hell herself taking center stage as the face of the project, the Lilith Spicy Tomato Double Whopper Cheeseburger will be served at Burger King outlets in the region from December 16th. Hamburger will be joined by two other limited-time creations also based on Blizzard’s slasher hack n’ slash action series. All this talk of blood and burgers has me hungry to try BK’s Curious Association game for myself.

Burger Queen

While you might not look at Lilith, Queen of the Succubi, and immediately think of spicy tomato sauce, BK Holdings would like to pay tribute to the misunderstood character. “It’s a burger inspired by the wrath of Lilith, who descended into Sanctuary after being exiled for a long time due to a bloody ritual,” she said, referring to the events of the second game in the Diablo series.

“This product is a specialty burger topped with a double patty of flame-grilled beef, four slices of cheese, and spicy tomato sauce,” the item description reads. on Famitsu (Opens in a new tab). The sauce in question features “mild spiciness of chili pepper and garlic umami,” which actually sounds pretty tasty.

The other burgers in the Diablo 4 Burger King collection are the Butcher Double Meat BBQ Cheese Burger and the Diablo Garlic Double Cheese Burger, and you can buy any of the three (or all of them, if you’re feeling particularly cheated) to get a free Lilith sticker with your order. Excuse me while I book a ticket to Tokyo.

Work pizza

When I read about BK’s eccentric burger gaming icons, I couldn’t help but wonder: What fast food items would be my favorite characters?

One of my favorite games from 2022 has been Resident Evil: The VillageSo here’s what I think three of the four lords of pizza will be like. I’ll be using the awful offerings from Pizza Hut Hong Kong as a basis for comparison, so I hope you have a strong stomach.

  • Salvatore Moreau (Seafood delight (Opens in a new tab)): Not only does this sly creation feature a tantalizing mix of scallops, cranberries, and carrots, but the orange mayonnaise dressing adds a particularly unsettling finish that I think reflects Moreau’s generally uneven demeanor.
  • Mrs. Dimitrescu (Show scallops with cheese (Opens in a new tab)): Let’s face it – Alcina is a queen, so she must have a pizza crowning another pizza. With five types of meat and a choice between scallops or peach with pesto sauce, Lady Dee’s soul fraternity couldn’t get any funnier or more attention-grabbing, for better or for worse.
  • Karl Heisenberg (Beef Legend (Opens in a new tab)): Just like Heisenberg, this pizza starts strong with a base of beef, peppers, and barbecue sauce. Things start to get a little out of control when you dig a little deeper, and just as Heisenberg hopes to use Rose to destroy Miranda, our taste buds are being spoiled by a mixture of peaches, cherries, and tartar sauce.

But what about Donna Benevento, a pizza that could captivate the black maid and her terrifying doll, Angie? All that comes to mind is that by the time I forgot to put the topping on the regular Tesco pizza base. Charred below, pale and flavorless above. It wasn’t a good day.

Hopefully the Devilish Burger King takes off, and we see a whole platter of game links released.
