Initially known as Operation Heron while the conversations took place, not a few details were given about Control 2 as far as the storyline or even the main plot points are concerned.

What we do know is that the game’s scope is expanding from the original. Not only is Remedy Pitch Control 2 a big budget game Compared to its predecessor, but they seem to have lofty ambitions for the game world itself. “We wanted to create something new. Something different and unexpected,” says Kasurinin. “A world like no other.”

“It’s still early days, but it’s worth the wait,” the director promised, so while we don’t expect more details in a hurry, there’s plenty of room for speculation.

This third-person shooter occupies the same scary universe as the world of Remedy Entertainment Alan Wakewhich will soon see a sequel, Alan Wake 2, to be released in 2023. The two games are ready to cross; After all, there were already links between the series in Control’s AWE expansion.

The treatment has already proven that the world of Alan Wake and Control is vast; We can learn a lot from the AWE DLC from Control, when the hero Jesse is contacted through a 3D version of the horror writer turned gumshoe.

Kasurinen’s statement will likely leave the door open for more overlaps in the near future – and who knows, maybe we’ll see Jesse sooner than we expect as we look forward to Alan Wake 2 in the coming months.
