Total Amount of Solar Energy

Around 3 850 000 exajoules (EJ) of solar energy are utilised annually by the atmosphere, land surface, and ocean surface combined. This provides more power in a single hour than the entire world consumed in a calendar year.

Photosynthesis & Biomass Production

To produce biomass, photosynthesis needs roughly 3,000 EJ per year. The amount of solar energy that reaches the earth’s surface is so great that it will roughly double all the energy that could be produced from all non-renewable sources in a year, including coal, oil, and uranium ores.

Solar Radiation

174 PW of solar radiation are regularly emitted into the Earth’s upper atmosphere (insolation). 16% of insolation is absorbed by the atmosphere, while just 6% of it is reflected. Based on climatic factors (clouds, dust, air pollution), the middle layers of the atmosphere reflect up to 20% of insolation and absorb 3%.

In addition to reducing the quantity of solar energy that reaches the surface of the Earth, the atmosphere diffuses around 25% of it and filters off a portion of its spectrum. About half of the insolation is in the visible spectrum after passing through the surroundings. The infrared region of the spectrum makes up the majority of the other half.

Which type of solar panel is best for home use?

Due to their high power output and efficiency, Monocrystalline solar panels are now the most popular household solar panel. The most efficient solar panel on the market, monocrystalline panels can achieve efficiencies of above 20%.

How many solar panels are needed to run a house in Pakistan?

If usage is roughly 1200 units per month, a 10KW solar system is sufficient to power an entire house. Ten ceiling fans, fifteen lights, two 1.5 tonne ACs, one iron, one refrigerator, one water pump, one LED TV, and two washing machines.

Is there any subsidy on solar panels in Pakistan? Punjab Province in Pakistan offers farmers an 80% subsidy on solar panel systems to increase agricultural output.

What is Skyactiv Technology

You’ve probably heard of “SkyActiv technology” if you’re looking for a new automobile with excellent fuel economy. The development of more efficient engines has been a recent focus for many automakers, and developments like Ford’s EcoBoost engines have proven to be hugely popular with new car customers. Over the past few years, Japanese automaker Mazda has created SkyActiv technology, which refers to a number of technological advancements that make their vehicles safer, better to drive, and more efficient. SkyActiv  provides, Instead of using electric cars, SkyActiv technology uses cleaner gasoline and diesel engines.

Many automakers had to decide in recent years whether they wanted to focus on developing an electric vehicle or on improving the efficiency of their current engines. Mazda’s approach to car electrification has been straightforward from the start: they weren’t going to create one. Instead of concentrating on electric vehicles, the corporation chose to concentrate on clean diesel and gasoline engines. “Everyone was releasing EVs or hybrids, and Mazda made the decision that we’re not going to try to disrupt the way that people typically drive,” stated Mr. Wager from Mazda. Mazda made the decision to make changes to every aspect of the vehicle in order to help customers achieve two common objectives: higher fuel efficiency and environmental awareness.

What is SkyActiv Technology?

SkyActiv is a collection of features that significantly improves the fuel economy, safety, and other aspects of Mazda automobiles. It includes upgraded engines and gearboxes, more streamlined exterior designs, and “lightweighting” of structural components. What does that mean, though? Mazda’s CMO for the USA, Russell Wager, stated to Forbes magazine: “It’s challenging to comprehend. Consumers are far more likely to put the [Mazda] brand on their purchasing lists when it is presented to them and they comprehend it.” Contrary to some other automakers, SkyActiv takes a more comprehensive approach rather than focusing on one or two main technologies. It encompasses everything from cutting-edge engines to lightweight body designs, as well as a management philosophy for the business and its manufacturing facilities.

Benefits of SkyActiv Technology

It has seen Mazda improve the performance of its engines. Its brand-new engine has the lowest compression ratio of any mass-produced diesel engine in the world at 14:1. As a result, fuel efficiency has increased by 20% and CO2 emissions have decreased by 20%, saving drivers money on their road tax and “benefit in kind” expenses. Additionally, the petrol engine has been modified, resulting in a 15% increase in fuel efficiency and a 15% decrease in dangerous CO2 emissions.

Compared to a Formula One engine, it has a higher compression ratio. Mazda has put a lot of effort into creating changes to the aerodynamics of its vehicles in addition to increasing the yields of its engines. Due to the use of high-tensile steel, which is thinner but stronger than traditional steel, the majority of Mazda models are now lighter than previously.

Mazda has improved the effectiveness of its transmissions. Its compact six-speed manual transmission provides snappy gear changes, while the automatic transmission with a cutting-edge torque converter and lock-up clutch improves fuel efficiency by up to 7%. SkyActiv vehicles, in Jim O’Sullivan’s opinion, are poised to gain popularity on a worldwide scale.

Top Clothing Brand in the World

The clothing industry has successfully maintained its stability against the backdrop of growing economic uncertainty worldwide, and future growth is anticipated to be much quicker. The leading businesses have continued to offer product differentiation with a dynamic strategy to suit the shifting trends despite the fierce competitive struggle in the market. One of the most significant sectors for global commerce, investments, employment, and revenue production has been the clothing and apparel sector. Short product life cycles, shifting consumer expectations brought on by the dynamics of fashion, product differentiation, and brand image creation are the main drivers of the sector.

The clothing industry, commonly referred to as the garment industry, consists of a variety of clothing items, from sportswear to formal attire to casual clothing to luxury goods. The garment companies were severely impacted by the pandemic. However, they have been able to recover thanks to rising sales and brand value. As of 2021, the worldwide apparel market generated about $1.5 trillion in revenue. The two nations with the biggest demand for apparel are notably the United States and China. However, in recent years, emerging markets have been a major driver of sales revenue for the top clothing brands.

Top Clothing Companies in the World

UNIQLO

With a brand value of $9.64 billion, UNIQLO is the tenth largest clothing brand in the world. One of the biggest apparel retailers in the world is the Japanese clothing company UNIQLO. Tadashi Yanai created UNIQLO in 1949, and as of 2021, the company will have 56,000 workers worldwide working out of its Midtown Tower headquarters in Akasaka, Tokyo.

The company’s internal procedures, which start with project planning, design, manufacture, and end with distribution, provide it a competitive advantage. The supply chain is efficient and cost-effective in meeting the shifting needs of international markets. The founder of UNIQLO claims that the company is known for being trend- and technology-driven in order to meet the ambiguous, dynamic, and extremely difficult demands of the worldwide industry. Its position as the top clothing brand worldwide is being cemented by the rapid advancements in e-commerce and technology.

Cartier

With a brand value of $12.41 billion, Cartier is the ninth-largest clothing brand globally. The French-based, fully-owned subsidiary of the Swiss Richemont Group is called Cartier International. It is largely a conglomerate of luxury products that designs, makes, and sells jewellery, watches, and leather items. The business was established in 1847, and its head office is located in Paris. With a long history of selling jewellery and timepieces to royals all over the world, Cartier is recognised as the most costly luxury brand in the world. It’s interesting to note that this year’s Sotheby’s Paris Fine Watches Auction saw a record-breaking $1.1 million paid for the Cartier “Cheich” Watch.

The outstanding, priceless timepieces and jewels produced by the French luxury brand are well known. Its carefully chosen apparel selection, however, has propelled it into the top 10 global clothing labels. For the year 2022, Cartier has unveiled a new collection that features more avant-garde and distinctive designs. In a meeting in April 2022, the company’s CEO, Cyrille Vigneron, highlighted that although prices will go up, it would only be a slight increase. The world’s present economic climate has given luxury firms a modest impetus to revamp their marketing plans. In order to survive and keep the top spot in the global marketplaces, more emphasis is being placed on digital transformation and brand imaging.

H&M

With a brand value of $12.70 billion, H&M is the eighth-largest clothing brand globally. Swedish company H&M is renowned for its commitment to sustainability and innovative business practises. For its customers, it puts an emphasis on the newest fashion trends and top-notch clothing quality. The company’s headquarters are in Stockholm, Sweden, and as of 2021, there were 107,375 total workers. The business strives for sustainable growth and makes sure that embracing change is seen as a positive challenge. H&M’s primary strategy is to emphasise digital transformation.

Helena Helmersson, the company’s CEO, has outlined the company’s migration to digital multiple times. The objective is to give customers a convenient experience. Thus, digital growth, channel integration, and portfolio optimization of stores are the three main firm priorities for the years 2021 and beyond. However, the company’s current success is largely due to its ability to move quickly and adapt to changing circumstances.

Zara

Zara is the seventh-largest apparel company, with a $12.99 billion brand value. One of the most well-known luxury companies is Zara, a high-end clothing company with its headquarters in Spain. Rosala Mera and Amancio Ortega launched the company in 1975. Zara’s headquarters are located in Arteixo, Spain, and as of 2021, there were 15,285 employees overall. Without a question, one of the leading apparel brands with a solid presence on the world market is Zara. In order to satisfy demand, the company’s primary goal has been to manufacture locally and reduce lead times. Sales have been aided by its combined digital and offline business model throughout the virus outbreak.

Zara’s expansion goals have been aided by digital transformation, which has also enabled the company adapt to shifting market demands internationally. Isla Pablo, the company’s CEO, has emphasised that both the physical stores and the online stores will be enlarged by the year 2022 to give customers throughout the world an uninterrupted shopping experience.
