Ask-AI has raised $9 million in an initial funding round

Israel-based platform Ask-AI has raised $9 million in an initial funding round, which it will use to accelerate growth, expanding its operations and scale.

Based on artificial intelligence and natural language processing, the company’s platform can identify frequently asked questions, surface actions, process and product answers, and insights through information sources such as emails, chats, databases, and monitored calls from call centers. Managers and employees can receive answers and insights from these sources of customer and internal communications. The company was founded last year by Alon Talmor, who previously founded data mining software company BlueTail – later sold to Salesforce with Talmor appointed as the latter’s chief data scientist.

The seed funding was led by Vertex Ventures and State of Mind Ventures, with the participation of several private investors and VCs. Talmore comments: “Businesses today find themselves overwhelmed with information and data from many internal and external sources and many text-heavy communication channels.
