A Software Technology Park at the University of Kotli, a Freelancing Hub at Tehsil Sehnsa, and an IT Lab for underage prisoners at Kotli Jail have been formally inaugurated.
The Software Technology Park in Kotli has already provided training and employment to hundreds of youth. In this regard, Superintendent Jail Kotli stated that the purpose of the IT Lab is to provide a separate environment for the recovery and training of underage prisoners. The fundamental objective of this plan is to provide youth with a solid IT education.
He said that under the plan, we will connect the youth of Azad Jammu & Kashmir with advanced technology. These organizations are providing employment opportunities to the youth by connecting them with the global digital market.
The IT Lab set up in Kotli Jail is the first example of this initiative under SCO Vision 2025. SCO’s Qabil-e-Tahseen organizations are becoming instrumental in highlighting the lack of unemployment and the needs of the youth in the region.
