According to a report in Pakistan Tech News, The Punjab Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Maal Department has launched the “Assistive Devices & Wheelchairs (ADWC)” mobile app in line with Digital Punjab Vision as envisaged by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. The platform strives to ease access to basic items for persons with disabilities throughout the province.
This app enables disabled citizens to apply online from the comfort of their houses for various assistive devices, including manual and motorized wheelchairs, pediatric chairs, prosthetic limbs, hearing aids, and mobility supports.
It aims to ensure ease and inclusion by delivering those items directly to the doorstep of the applicants once the application is approved.
How to Apply
Here’s how to apply through the ADWC program:
- Log on to the official ADWC website at.
- Click “Apply Now” on the home page.
- Create an account with your CNIC number, mobile number, and basic details.
- Upload the required documents: CNIC or B-Form (for minors), Disability Assessment Certificate, and passport-size photo.
- Select those devices you require–such as a wheelchair, hearing aid, or prosthetic limb.
- Click ‘Submit Application’ and remember to note the tracking ID for future use.
- Your device of choice will be delivered at home upon approval.

According to the official data available on the ADWC portal, more than 38,600 applications have been received so far for the initiative, of which more than 11,200 have been approved and roughly 7,000 assistive devices have been delivered across 36 districts of Punjab.
Provincial officials said it will not only empower the vulnerable people but it will also bring more transparency and efficiency in the application process. The department has instructed all field officers to install the app and start awareness campaigns for maximum participation.
