According to a report in Pakistan Tech News, India has decided to buy advanced LORA missiles from Israel as part of its military modernization drive. This deal could give a new direction to the defense dynamics of South Asia.
Reports say that these missiles can reach up to 400 kilometers and are fitted with precision-guided technology, which can strike enemy installations at exact coordinates. Israeli Defense Industries confirms that the initial delivery phase will start shortly.
According to Defense experts, the LORA system will dramatically enhance India’s long-range strike capabilities, especially for border security and deterrence strategies. This move could further aggressively strengthen its regional military posture.
The deal will further strengthen the strategic defense partnership between India and Israel, currently active in drone and radar technology projects, officials add.
This move by India might be a cause for concern for the regional security environment, says Pakistan Tech News in an analysis, as it could lead to the proliferation of advanced missile systems, thus fueling an arms race and further instability in South Asia.
